Vitalik Buterin Calls ‘Mr. Bitcoin’ a Fraud in a Recent Conference
The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto has always been a hot topic in the crypto community. Sources have gathered proof and tried to connect Nakamoto with people such as Elon Musk or a person of similar status. Many people have come forward and claimed that they are the inventors of Bitcoin. One such individual is Dr. Craig Wright: ‘Mr. Bitcoin‘.
However, Ethereum’s founder, Vitalik Buterin, thinks otherwise. A Deconomy conference was held in South Korea yesterday, where Wright was a part of the panel “Bitcoin, Controversy over Principle”, along with Bitcoin.com’s Roger Ver and Blockstream’s Samson Mow. In a Q&A session, Buterin said, “Given that he makes so many non sequiturs and mistakes, why is this fraud allowed to speak at this conference?”

Vitalik Buterin Vs Craig Wright
Wright has failed to prove his claims but he insists that even if people don’t believe him, he doesn’t care. Interestingly, his posts on social media show that this topic does, in fact, bother him. While Buterin was busy live-tweeting the entire panel, Wright took to Twitter to point out how many doctorate degrees he had compared to Ethereum’s creator.
I know Vitelik thinks this is not real… But then he did not do much in the way of statistics in his education.
This is when the use of argument from authority matters. In probability, V is not an authority 😉https://t.co/lI7VI6XoWA

He continued to argue with a follower to properly describe his title.
I have multiple doctorates.
I use the title Dr.
I am not a doctor, that is a physician. I am a PhD qualified researcher.
Is that precise enough for you?

Another Twitter thread showed that he had linked a YouTube video explaining 18 of his degrees to Buterin’s confrontational video.
Come on… this is old news. Catch up Vitalek…https://t.co/hqK9svIZE3
I have completed my 18th degree and am working on the 19th and 20th
Sorry… already verified

When asked why he kept bringing up his PhD, he said, “When a person making a claim is presented as an expert who should be trusted when his or her expertise is not in the area being discussed. Mine IS in all aspects of bitcoin…”
Some users used GIFs to point out Wright’s fixation on his studies.

Others challenged him to prove that he is Nakamoto.
So you have a bunch of degrees. What does that prove? Nada! Move say 500k BTC or sign a msg saying "Craig is the big cheese" with SN key in the full view others.

Many wrote that Bill Gates and Steve Jobs didn’t have degrees but ended up being immensely successful. However, Buterin reaffirmed his thoughts on Twitter, “So I *do* think both sides [Mow vs Ver] need to improve their discourse. But Craig Wright *is* crazy.”
